Commercial Cleaner (Charlottetown, PEI)

Job description

IO Solutions Call Center is looking for a part-time cleaner to handle basic cleaning duties and proper sanitation for its Charlottetown contact center location. The ideal candidate will be flexible in terms of scheduling and passionate about creating a welcoming environment through good hygiene. We’re looking for a cleaning specialist who will exceed expectations, ensuring that all areas of the office such as entryways and common areas are sparkling.

ADDITIONAL INFO

• Job status: permanent, part-time (20 to 25 hours per week)
• Flexible availability required: Mornings, evenings and/or weekends

Responsibilities

• Clean meeting rooms, training rooms, break and lunchroom, call center, etc.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, tables, chairs, refrigerators, microwaves, etc.
• Mop tile and concrete floor areas
• Dust all furniture and fixtures as required
• Wash and disinfect all washroom floors, toilets, toilet seats, hand dryers and fixtures
• Clean all mirrors, walls and toilet partitions
• Replenish all bathroom supplies as needed daily
• Empty all waste baskets/garbage cans and place garbage in outside storage bins on a daily basis
• Clean entrance and exits including all glass, doors, floors and hardware
• Clean all fingerprints from walls, doors, hardware and glass
• Report damages and acts of vandalism
• Maintain and secure storage areas and cleaning equipment, materials and supplies in a safe and orderly manner in order to ensure safety of staff and the public
• Notify of any repairs required

Qualifications

• Ability to handle cleaning equipment
• Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision
