Don’t overlook a crucial component of IO Solutions recruitment that could be essential to snagging your dream job: the on-the-spot interview.
We often offer an opportunity for candidates who are passionate about inbound sales, chat or social media customer service by hosting Open House recruitment events.
Success at an open interview is about preparing beforehand, arriving on time, looking your best, and leaving the hiring staff with a great impression.
These tips will help you ace an on-the-spot interview:
Dress appropriately:
For any situation, dress in a neat and tidy manner. In many cases, opting for dark jeans, slacks or a skirt paired with a button-down shirt, polo shirt or blouse may be a good combination.
Be prepared to wait:
One common piece of feedback about hiring events and open interviews is that there can be some waiting. These events are open to many people at once, and this means you may need to wait your turn to be interviewed. Typically, candidates are interviewed on a first come, first served basis.
Update your resume and Bring a copy:
Make changes to your resume that will make it easy to see you have the required skillset.
Have Two references ready:
A former employer name and contact number is preferred. If not available, a volunteer work or family reference is acceptable. Its important to have the name, relationship and contact of each reference.
Bring Two Pieces of ID:
One piece of ID must have a picture and signature and must be valid (expired ID is not acceptable). Examples include a passport or driver license. The second piece of ID can be an opus card or student or library ID.
